Is that a mixture of fake rock and real rock? Whatever it is, it is tremendous and yet another phenomenal addition to a great zoo. I saw the first phase of Asian Highlands last summer, but this second phase looks to be unrivaled anywhere in America. What is the enclosure in the upper right-hand corner? Is that part of the massive waterfowl aviary elsewhere in the zoo...or something else?
@snowleopard that netting is the edge of the snow leopard habitat. We are looking towards the outer edge of the zoo here. The fake rock makes up most of the wall face here but there are many real rocks scattered in between them and on the ground with the stream.
The Omaha zoo has had real improvement over the years. There bear and cat complex's are the worst exhibits I have personally seen, And now with African grasslands and Asian Highlands, The Omaha zoo is a real improvement
