@FunkyGibbon I've had three overseas trips this year - a few nights in Malaga and Gibraltar in March, wildlifing with a side of zoos in Poland in May and a full-on NRW zoo tour in June, so yes - it has been a busy time! Next up is Zoohistorica in Nuremberg in September but that's just a quick weekend to attend the event.
It does all mean that my zoo list for the year is very much biased towards non-UK zoos - I've been to 25 different zoos this year, of which fifteen were German, three Polish and one Spanish. The UK zoos I have done are very much from the 'familiar favourites' category as well (Chester twice, YWP, Slimbridge, Hamerton, Cotswold - with my first trip to the 'new' Crocodiles of the World site the only outlier).
