Pretty disgusting to see this at a family-oriented place like a zoo. I'm surprised that is even allowed and maybe it is in Germany (although I haven't seen it myself before), but it certainly isn't in several other European countries.
I'm glad that most zoos no longer allow their animals to smoke. The series of nicotine-withdrawal attacks by the hippos were really ugly, but things are better now.
