Bat ID - Pipistrelle? Daubentons?

And tagging in those people I recall are good with bat identification....

After I got it out of the house, I measured the distance from the picture frame to the mark on the canvas visible in the image, thinking it might help with scale - approximately 35mm.

Common Pipistrelle bats have a body length of 35 - 45mm, Daubenton's bat has a body length of 45 -55mm so would go with Pipistrelle hope this helps

Off the top of my head, given the size it's a pipistrelle and given the dark face probably a Common Pipistrelle (P. pipistrellus), though you'd need to take measurements or check the echolocation frequency (or take a DNA sample!) to be sure.

Though of course, you can't legally handle these unless licensed or if the animal is injured/unwell - so a bat detector is your only real option!
