Just in case anyone was wondering...
The fire and explosion yesterday afternoon was indeed about a mile north-east'ish of the park. It was a combine (harvester) fire. The driver managed to get the machine out of the crop, and he (and his dog!) are both fine - but the combine itself was totaled.
Your picture makes it look rather closer than it was, but of course we didn't know at the time! The loudest of the three explosions was attributed to the combine's hydraulic fuel tank exploding. This is steel as opposed to plastic on modern diesel fuel tanks. This was heard (and the smoke seen) almost 20 miles away to the west of Oundle.
