Is the walk-through exhibit just the house or is there another area where the lemurs can go? This is certainly something you'd never see in North America.
@TZDugong I've probably seen 40 walk-through lemur exhibits in Europe, not to mention walk-through exhibits with penguins, seals, Saki Monkeys, Barbary Macaques, tamarins, marmosets and even Hanuman Langurs and probably some others that I'm forgetting. One of my first zoos had me going into the same enclosure as Wisent and Przewalski's Horses...it's crazy over here and yet tremendously exciting at the same time.
The lemurs at ZooParc Overloon have several other areas where they can venture, but apparently they love to hang around their brightly-coloured houses.
Also: Secretary bird, Marabous, Emus, Rheas, Pelicans, All sorts of vultures and other larger birds, Kangaroos, wallabies, Deer, Tamanduas, Skunks, Armadillos, Sloths, Siamangs, Tree kangaroos, Sitatunga and Colobus monkeys
@Mr Gharial I don't remember because I posted that comment almost two years ago, right after visiting 95 European zoos that summer. Maybe I was thinking about Pairi Daiza because one could argue that the seal/penguin exhibit there is technically a walk-through enclosure. Other than that...who knows? Thanks for the list you provided. What zoo has a walk-through with Siamangs?
