Giant Eland

lesser capybara (Hydrochoerus isthmius) species ID?

Any thoughts? Certainly is the correct range. Would I need to check with the zoo to see where they sourced them?

Very difficult to say. I saw a lesser capybara in Summit (Panama) this year, but I found it hard to tell the difference between this species and the "common" capybara - somewhat smaller, maybe a bit less robust, but that's it.

Yeah, it's basically smaller size and distribution. You can't tell from a photo.
