Vejle Dyrehave - Main entrance

There are also several smaller entrances that can only be accessed by foot.

Vejle Dyrehave is one of many Danish "dyrehaver" (deer gardens) - fenced-in nature areas where deer live in semi-liberty. As far as dyrehaver go, Vejle Dyrehave is medium-sized (30 hectares), and it contains two species of deer, fallow deer and Japanese sika deer. It's located scenically (but also noisily) by the Vejle Fjord Bridge, Denmark's most trafficked highway bridge. It's also located right next to Skyttehushaven, a small lakeside park with some bird aviaries.

June 2019.
