I know that there is a nocturnal program that involves a guided night tour through an 11-acre exhibit, and did you partake in the walk? There are creatures such as short-beaked echidnas, bilbies, greater stick-nest rats and spectacled hare wallabies to be seen via flashlight but it is an additional charge.
@ Zooplantman - I'm sure they have planted in some areas (most likely replantings around constructions) but it is predominantly natural. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at the plants (virtually none, actually) but I'm sure you'd be very impressed.
