Quite rare in public collections outside Australia but in privat collections the breeding-results are quite good.

They breed very well in private collections over here too.

The local Alice Springs Reptile Centre (which I regretfully did not visit when I toured Australia in 2007) has such species as: Arafura file snake, desert death adder, curl snake, Stimson's python, Spencer's monitor, marbled velvet gecko and smooth knob-tailed gecko. Has anyone on ZooChat visited the establishment?

Yes, I did. The first time was in 2003, the last time was less than a week ago.

Photos to come.

They don't have File Snakes anymore; at least, there were none on display.

I visited a month or so ago, and reviewed it (and the Desert Park) here: http://www.zoochat.com/24/zooboy28-australia-313826/index12.html#post719308
