All I can say is WOW, puts 99% of zoos to shame with a natural chunk of woodland... I do wonder where a Pakistani zoo got Amur tigers, interesting nonetheless.

@DelacoursLangur - what a strange thing to say. Do you also wonder where an English zoo gets tigers from, or a Mexican zoo?

In this case, the tiger was imported privately from Canada by Pakistani politician Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and later was sent to the zoo.

@Chlidonias I dont think its that strange of a comment, Its rather unusual to see a pure Amur tiger in a Pakistani zoo. Generally most Indian and middle eastern zoos either have local Bengal Tigers or generic non-subspecific as they tend not to be a part of any organized breeding programs such as the EAZA for English zoos, and the AZA for Mexican zoos...

@DelacoursLangur @Chlidonias The park has one male Siberian currently which was gift for a local politician who built the whole park to accommodate it. They did bring in a female a few years back but she got killed by the male.

@DelacoursLangur you might wanna check out the goral/markhor enclosure in Lalazar WP, it used to house common leopards but cuz of a lack of staff they're unfortunately housed in a much smaller exhibit now.
