The gate between the giraffe and elephant paddocks was opened following Duchess's death and this is the first time I've seen any of the giraffes anywhere near it. The browse is obviously an inducement although there is none available in the elephant paddock. She was willing to extend her neck into new territory but that was as far as things went.
