I think you will truly enjoy Leipzig zoo. Next year destination Berlin promises to be very exciting, when (hopefully) the two Carnivore houses will open. If you add Leipzig, Magdeburg and few other small zoo facilities in an 1-2 hours distance, could be a good reason to cross the Atlantic.
