Mole House

Does the mole house literally just have-like Moles????
Cool idea, but I don't think moles would attract much attention.

The mole house also contains shrews and water shrew.
If you look a little further in the gallery you will see that the mole house is an innovative concept that really brings these mysterious creatures out into the open. At various points during my visit it was full of people who were very interested in the inhabitants.

Wow, I didn't know that moles would really interest so many people!

By the way, what species of moles are in the house?

Large Japanese mole and Small Japanese mole
Least shrew and Long-clawed shrew
Japanese water shrew
Japanese shrew mole has been held in the recent past.

Cool.

Really nice to see (and quite unusual) that this zoo would dedicate a house and area to these species.
