@KevinB Yes , it is a bit of an odd mix and is certainly one that I haven't seen before.

Is it long term ? or just a temporary measure?

Also , what is the interaction between these two species ? For some reason I am assuming that the hornbills are the behaviorally dominant ones.

I'm sorry, but honestly I don't really have any answers to your questions.

As far as if it is permanent: according to some information I found in this gallery they have been together since at least fall 2016. So it seems to be permanent or at least long term.

I did not see any interaction between the species, although it seemed to me the vultures were keeping their distance from the hornbills.
