Luke da Zoo nerd 25 Nov 2019 Aha! On the thread-Are these in zoos?- I was asking the community if any Flapjack octopuses were in captivity! Looks like I just found one!

jayjds2 25 Nov 2019 @FunkyGibbon was this animal moving much? This seems uncharacteristic of their normal behavior from people I know who’ve seen them.

Luke da Zoo nerd 25 Nov 2019 @jayjds2 I agree. I have never seen them or in zoos/aquariums or even knew they were in any at all. But from what I've known about them they are pretty active animals who are on the move most of the time. Could this one possibly be sleeping?

FunkyGibbon 25 Nov 2019 @jayjds2 No, in fact I assumed that this 'sitting on the bottom' behaviour was what gave rise to the name flapjack.
