@Moebelle - explained at the end how? I skipped to the end where you talked about the "exhibit" and there was no explanation of why they keep the lizard in such a small box.
@Chlidonias It's temporarily held in the HerpAquarium until it is larger, to which it will later be moved to the outdoor yard and indoor habitat next to the Cuban crocodiles - as shown in the video.
@Andrew Swales If you have Facebook or Email the zoo is quite responsive with guest questions. Specifically at this point, they aren't in the smaller outdoor boxes due to the weather. Why they aren't in the indoor habitat next to the crocodiles? I don't know. Ironically a Veiled Chameleon is the current resident.
I would say yes, this is somewhat of a common practice when a zoo receives a juvenile Komodo. Raised in a terrarium, moved into a larger home later on.
