Why American? To me it looks like an ordinary Common toad (or its Iberian sister species).
 
I see American Toads all the time in the wild (like almost every day in the summer) and this looks nothing like one. I'm not familiar with European toads, but I would guess a Bufo species, likely Common.
 
@drill It helps if you mention that immediately:p. That said no similar species are listed for Oceanario, so you are likely correct. But I still wouldn't know how to differentiate American toad form European toad.
 
It's not an American Toad. It doesn't have the American Toad's characteristic postorbital ridges and the tympanum is too small. Most (but not all) American Toads are also patterned with at least some darker spots. Looks like a European Common Toad to me.
