Martha

Bornean orang utan, Pongo pygmaeus. Martha was probably born in 1965, so she is an old lady now. She can still climb up the mesh of the indoor quarters, although she climbs slowly and stiffly, and as the photo shows she still takes an interest in what's happening around her.

To the best of my knowledge she is the oldest living Bornean Orangutan.

@TeaLovingDave I thought she might be, but was too lazy to investigate.

Very nearly the oldest Bornean Orangutan, only beaten by a female named 'Lembeng' at Surabaya Zoo born in approx. 1963, with 'Martha' in joint second with a female from Tama Zoo named 'Julie', but most certainly the oldest outside of Asia
