@Tafin Chito and Tayla are retired from breeding. Chito is elderly at 17 years of age and will likely die in the next year or so. When he passes, I’m guessing they won’t import a new male straight away (to breed with Jamuna). There’s seven years between Tayla and Jamuna; so assuming Tayla lives an average lifespan, Jamuna will still be of reproductive age when her mother passes. It will be at this point, they can decide whether they want to continue breeding from this line. Several of Chito and Tayla’s cubs have already bred, including two daughters in New Zealand zoos, so their bloodline is already well represented.
