Bairds Tapir / Capybara Exhibit

Weird place to put south american species, next to the elephants.
If you're curious why there are tapirs and capybara close to elephants, the concept of Elephant Odyssey is to exhibit creatures that lived in, or are the decedents of animals that lived in California during the Pleistocene era. That's why in this exhibit complex you get elephants, lions, tapirs, sloths, jaguars, camels, and secretary birds to name a few, because all these animals have prehistoric lineages or equivalents that lived in the area.
