Interesting enclosures, particularly the funny mushroom-shaped shelters. The wide watermoats are again a waste of space in design, I think and I wish more zoos would get away from having water-moated enclosures for Apes.

I agree with you there Pertinax! There's been several deaths/escapes in a few zoos of Gorillas or Orangutans escaping, Blackpool lost a young male Orangutan a few years back due to a moat accident.
Chester was another which lost a male Orangutan by the name of Kimbu died in the Monkey house, it's a weird exhibit that Palmyre display the apes but I weirdly like it!
