Ocelot Exhibit - Deserts Edge

Unless there is a lot more to this that is not shown here, that's a pretty depressing exhibit.

This shows a little under half of the exhibit. It's essentially a cliffside with a lot of vertical height, though it is definetly a bit dark.

In 1975 this section (then called Sahara Predators) won the second AZA Exhibit Award. This reflects how much "better" this was than just about any small cat exhibit in the country at the time (and arguably a number of big cat exhibits that were simply grottoes and prisons.)
