And now these guys are gone. The Tropical Aviary has really been declining rencently. The two tanks and the two "tree terrariums) adjacent to where the piranhas were are now empty. There are no more fish beneath the turaco. No more Golden Lion Tamarins. There may be more species in the free-flight room now, but they are more secretive species - and I think less individual birds. I mean, there used to be a giant (impossible to miss) flock of Saffron Finches, but now there is only one. What happened!?
@birdsandbats Maybe they plan on renovating it? They did just recently redo the roof on the aviary, maybe they plan on redoing the rest of the building as well.
