Speckled Mousebird

Housed with Spur Winged Lapwing
These mousebirds were returned on exhibit after a renovation of that enclosure and the weaverbird exhibit next down to make 100% predator-proof.
Is it because rats get into it or another predator?

@Thomas I don’t know what else it could’ve possibly been since the fencing is too small for most predators to go in. Since it’s located in Griffith Park, the only other predator possibly able to go would be rattlesnakes and they are prominent in that area. All the small aviaries best Campo Gorilla Reserve were filled up during my visit.
