IMO rainy days are the best days to visit a zoo (or maybe second best after overcast). There are no crowds, some animals are actually more active than on a sunny day, and the soft light is great for photography (assuming you have a camera rain cover as I do).
@Arizona Docent You r absolutely right, especially in this zoo, the behaviour of the elephants while it`s raining is really interisting. For some reason no one knows as soon as it starts raining the elephant group goes into the water pond in their outdoor exhibit and they take a bath
