Wow, did they replace their Slender horned gazelles (Gazella leptoceros) with Speke's gazelles (Gazella spekei)? On my last visit, Slender horned gazelles occupied this enclosure.
@UngulateNerd92 I went back and checked my species list (posted on the appropriate forum) and it looks as though you are right; slender-horned was actually the species in this enclosure. I think I mislabeled the photo because they both start with the same letter and I've seen more Speke's before.
@Coelacanth18 that's ok, it happens... This would definitely be an appropriate enclosure and might I add an appropriate climate to keep Gazella spekei. Being a desert species, they fit in with the theme of the collection plan.
@UngulateNerd92 If I remember correctly they do now keep Speke's Gazelle as well, I think a friend of mine photographed them there recently and they do have a Hornbill and Speke's Gazelle chat as activity on their website.
@UngulateNerd92 Can't remember off the top of my head, but I made a species list in March 2019 when I visited - should be a tagged Living Desert thread. That list will likely answer your question.
