@EsserWarrior You mean the species or plucking? The species here (one of the lorikeets) is extremely common in the private trade. Plucking really only happens in birds that aren't cared for well. Plucking birds in zoos are usually rescues from bad homes that wouldn't stop the bad habit.
@EsserWarrior Lorikeets of several species are pretty common in the private trade, I know a few people who have them. They can be a tad expensive to keep due to their diet though.
