margay

I went to see margay which I believe is one of two remaining in USA (the other is a couple hours away at Exotic Feline Breeding Compound). Zoo had told me end of day was best chance but I was there last two hours and it never left this perch in the corner.

Wow, I didn't realize Margay were now that rare in the US! Glad I saw the one at Sacramento a few times before it passed away.

Does anyone know the origins of the US Margay population?
