0.2 Spix's Macaws and 2.2 Lear's Macaws were sent to Jurong on a display loan from ACTP and Al Wabra in end-2017, as part of Jurong's participation in the Blue Macaws conservation project. As Jurong's involvement in the project has come to an end, the macaws are in the process of being returned to their respective holders.
@DelacoursLangur i understand its because Jurong would rather focus on Southeast Asian projects. Also because the Spix's macaw program is no longer lacking funds with the recent participation of Pairi Daiza.
