Arizona Docent

future Australia (spring 2020)

@Arizona Docent ah ok interesting. So it was their nursery where they sold plants? Darn it! I remember that being there since my childhood visits. I wonder how much revenue that place brought in...?

@UngulateNerd92 Yes I am fairly certain that is the location. You also may (or may not) have noticed the photo of the old gift shop, which is now closed and the sign on the door says "staff only." Not sure if staff actually use it for anything. You may also have noticed the (more distressing) photo of the former small mammal exhibits, which are now a row of colored rocking chairs. I agree the old exhibits were too small, but I would have liked to see new larger exhibits instead of chairs!

@Arizona Docent ah yes ok. I did see the photo of the old gift shop you are referring to. Yes those colored chairs were quite distressing hahaha.... I expected that another exhibit space would eventually occupy that spot. I actually liked those small mammal exhibits and thought they seemed adequate.

As for species lineup, I just noticed on the rendering that it shows free flying parrots, which would explain why the entire area is covered with mesh. That would be a really nice feature if it comes to fruition.

There also appear to be rock wallabies in the back (behind glass) and some type of large lizards in the middle (behind glass).
