Plumpton Park Zoo - Tigers

The cats seemed to at least be in okay condition (orange tiger is sleeping in tire, look just below the middle, to the left of the enter tree).

Are the tigers on some kind of gravel or do you think that the grass has worn away to nothing over the years? The zoo's carnivore exhibits appear to be very disappointing.

@snowleopard Both. the ground is very worn down, and there's some light areas of gravel in bits but it's definitely not something they keep up. It was difficult getting photos of these areas because there's so many fences and they're all so close together.

The arctic wolves exhibits both clearly started as grass and are completely worn down to dirt across their entire areas.

The tiger setup actually looks better than the Siamang and jackal setups IMO. Nothing that should be in a zoo really, but I have seen much worse in roadside zoos.

This tiger enclosure now has straight up concrete flooring, I uploaded a photo. I also uploaded a photo of the enclosure for their newly acquired lionesses which is pretty awful if that's the best they could come up with.

@SusScrofa I've been meaning to get over there and see the lion exhibit but I just haven't gotten around to it, the only exciting thing there is the jackals. My dad works down the road though.
