There are three SW rhinos (1,2,0) at the zoo and since 2019 they live in a new building in place of old exhibits for highland cattle and guanaco. The building they used to live with giraffes (before they came back to the zoo in 2013) and few antelopes is now under demolition. The zoo participates in the breeding program for northern white rhinos. There were several attempts to take oocytes from one of the females.
