Mississippi River - Atlantic Tarpon

Mainly a marine species, it nonetheless is able to thrive in freshwater. At River Safari, it is displayed at the Mississippi River zone and at the Manatee exhibit.

@Zooish These are awesome fish, I was lucky enough to see a small school of about five in very shallow water snapping up small fish and darting around the water. (This was on St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands on a beach only a few metres from shore)

Are these the only animals from the old Mississippi River area left there after it got replaced by more African river stuff?

@noobmaster69 yes. The Tarpon also fit the African theme as they are found along the West African coast.
