It is quite something, and we (French) zoochatters have been looking forward to it for a while but it was slightly underwhelming. Of course it was superbly made, and everything looked aesthetically brilliant, but some exhibits are too small and I feel as if they could have brought in a few more rarities. However, we have to be happy with what we've got, and I guess we certainly are (douc langurs, harpy eagles, giant otters - we don't see them at every zoo, at least not in Europe, so we still approve of it, it's just it could have been slightly better executed in terms of exhibit planning.
Well yes I am half French and half Canadian but I live in London as a kind of compromise between the two .
British Canadian that is . That's why I spend so much time in France - I am basically always there during the holidays unless we decide to go abroad. As a result I have ended up visiting a number of French collections and have had the pleasure of going to Beauval quite a few times as well as a few others.
