I only uploaded this photo to add it to the Photographic Guide To Bats thread. It's the only reasonable photo I took of the Black Flying Foxes (the colony also contained Acerodon celebensis which I was more interested in), I had to lighten it considerably (because it was taken against the sky), and it still isn't much good.
This is the nominate subspecies from Indonesia. The subspecies which is more familiar to people is the Australian P. a. gouldi.
