The largest enclosure in Knuthenborg is the 40 hectare Skovriddersletten (an old Danish name of the area where the enclosure is). A part of this enclosure is being converted to the new elephant enclosure that will be finished in June 2020, which means that it will be smaller. In this enlosure you find Bactrian camel, fallow deer, water buffalo, sika deer, miniature zebu and chital deer. You are allowed to leave the car in this area to see the animals close up. If you don't have a car you can walk through the enclosure as well. If you are biking around the park (it is allowed), you can bike through this enclosure
