This looks to me like a mixed group of Willow and Rock Ptarmigan. If the four birds in the four ground are Rocks, I’ll need to update my list. If anyone can confirm the I.D., I would be very appreciative.
Could you please give a location where this photograph was taken, so I can pin down a subspecies for the purposes of my photographic guide to the Galliformes?
