Zoo Montana - 2-Acre Grizzly Bear Exhibit

July 13th, 2010.
A trio of orphaned cubs made their public debut in late 2010, as they were rescued from the wild after the death of their mother. The sow had killed a camper in Michigan and attacked other humans and thus was killed before she could inflict any more damage. The cubs have settled in to their huge enclosure, and there is also an older male bear that rotates on exhibit.

Slight correction. The cubs came from Montana just outside of Yellowstone Park. There are no grizzlies in Michigan.

Thank you Ituri, and that makes perfect sense. The man who was killed by the female grizzly was from Michigan, but the attack did not take place there. I was in too much of a rush!:)

I dont know where these fantastical acreage numbers zoos put out come from sometimes... This enclosure is just under an acre in size. I measured it.
