I think it is a female Eurasian teal but I'm not entirely sure.

I am not sure. It is not a Green-wing or European Teal. By elimination of those spp I do immediately recognise, I think that it could perhaps be a female Blue-winged Teal, or my best guess a female Cinnamon Teal.

I first thought that, especially due to the pale, unmarked face - but none of the ones we bred showed such pale fawn margins to the wing coverts and body feathers; these were all much browner, more gingery... perhap there a lot of individual variation..
