Great Argus 18 May 2020 I believe it's a firefly. Unfortunately the ones on the west coast don't light up.

Kakapo 20 May 2020 Soldier beetle (family Cantharidae). Closely related with fireflies (same superfamily, Cantharoidea). I don't know the American fauna enough for tell a genus.
