The elephant calf Namsai at Kolmården. This picture was taken in 2014. Namsai was born in 2013 from insemination as Kolmården didn't have a breeding bull back then. In 2015 the new breeding bull Tonsak arrived from Copenhagen. Namsai's father is named Raja and lives in Woburn Safari Park in Britain. His mother Bua was born in 1997 in Thailand and arrived in Kolmården in 2004 together with the female Saonoi (born 1996). They were a gift from the king of Thailand to the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf and are quite famous in Sweden. They are known as "The king's elephants".
