The seal basin Brådjupet in Kolmården. Brådjupet is translated into "Brå depth" and originates from the Bråviken (translated into "Brå bay") just outside the park. The bay can be seen from the seal basin. The basin is a natural ravine enclosed by a wall an is 9 m deep. This basin is home to grey seal, harbour seal and South African fur seal. It was also home to Humboldt penguin eralier. The penguins' old enclosure was quite small so they were moved to the seal basin, but didn't thrive so after about five years they were moved to other parks. The large house to the left is the seal house and the smaller house on the hill is the old penguin house, built when the penguins moved here and now empty.

@MonkeyBat The clothes are for decoration, the area around the seal enclosure had a pirate-theme before. The seal show was also hosted by pirates then. I haven't been to the park for a couple of years now but there is a new seal show without pirates so maybe the pirate theme is gone now
