A female with eye problems. She originally had problems with the sun, so she spent the day inside, and the night outside. She’s at least 15 and could possibly be in her early 20’s. I’m not sure.

It’s great to see her out and about in her enclosure. Have you ever seen her or Arturo in the pool?

@Jambo No I havent, I've only seen Arturo a couple times and obviously I can't see him now because he's been moved to Adelaide.

@Yoshistar888 Neither. Arturo was a pretty chill Tapir. It’s a shame he moved to Adelaide, but of course, now we can see Semangka!

@Jambo You could have still seen Sengaka prior to Aarutos departure, I've seen her before Aaruto's move.

@Jambo Aruto was out more commonly, around a 70/30.

@Jambo Semangka is around 21 years old (born 1999 at Taronga) so hopefully she still has a few years left at Melbourne. See her while you can - there are only three Malayan Tapir left in Australia.

@WhistlingKite24 Of course. She’s one beautiful animal. The other two are at Adelaide right? I wonder why they never paired Berani (Semangka’s father) up with the females at Adelaide?
