Woolly monkey - species?

@Goura Until fairly recently there were only thought to be 2 woolly monkey species, one of which was represented in zoos. But this species has been split up into several species, but the exact origin of most zoostock is not well known, so there is a good probability that a lot are hybrids....

I have been digging a bit into Woolly Monkey taxonomy and it appears that the split advocated for by Groves and others is on shaky ground. Genetically the best solution seems to lump back all the split Woolly Monkey species back into Lagotricha lagotrich, with only the Yellow-tailed Woolly Monkey being truly a different species. Between the other taxa there is little genetic differentiation and a history of genetic exchange, so even though there are 5 distinct subspecies, their species status is questionable.
