I think this is the first time I hear about Beauval Zoo (unless there are pictures in the gallery already, and I just don´t remember the name). However, many of these pictures look very pleasing. Big savanna. Big elephant enclosure. Lots of good monkey and ape enclosures.
Its was originally a large bird park but since late 1980s transformed into a broader zoo collection. dont like everything there (white tigers & lions, bear enclosure) but there is a lot more that i do.
Seems strange to me that France has some big zoos that are relatively unknown whereas everyone knows the big dutch, german, czech collections.
Zoo de Doue not far from Beauval is one of my favourite zoos that ive visited and yet not one photo in the gallerys of zoochat, will correct that shortly.
There are a number of animal collections (la vallee des singes , zoo de la flesche and a few more i forget names of) all relatively close around this area along the Loire valley.
