The indoor enclosure consists of 5 boxes, 4 with natural substrate, for a total of 2 elderly Asian elephant cows. The indoor section is only open when the elephants are inside.
@Wyman What do you mean exactly with private stalls? The two old ladies are separated when inside, which seems to suit them fine, they don't interact much anyway. In winter they will spend more time inside but it is very rare that they don't have outdoor access for at least a few hours with the mild climate here.
@lintworm I mean like there's usually a public viewing of an indoor space and then some stalls in the back behind a solid wall. Something like Omaha or the Smithsonian, where there are some private stalls in addition to the main indoor space.
