Baby Asian Elephant playing with tire

Melbourne Zoo had a baby elephant die from this kind of enrichment device, being suffocated when entangled in a tyre.

Oh my god.. thanks for letting me know about that. Well, luckily the zoo currently removed the movable tire from this position - therefore the elephant cannot 'wear' the tire like this photo anymore. Perhaps they were also aware of such incidents as well...
