Sorry for the poor quality pics. My focusing ring was pretty tenacious that day and accounted for a number of ruined photos. Thoiry is set in a pretty dramatic area near Paris. It is behind a large manor/castle, and the view from there is quite nice, with a rows and rows of trees manicured so that they are cube-shaped. Might post a photo of the view later.
