Presentation of the desert animals (Bactrian camel, yak and kulan) at the Kolmården desert. Presenations are held daily during summer season (not this year)..
It was a couple of years since I visited the park and this photo is from 2014. Back then they talked about the different animals and showed them for the audience. The animals are trained to be handled by the keepers and to stand still at different spots so they can be observed, and the camels are led by rope. They are not trained to do some kind of tricks. An example is this photo where the yak stands still to be observed by the audience.
The presentation takes place in a part of the desert enclosure that is closed off by ropes attached between rocks and trees during the presentations to keep the rest of the animals out. The rest of time there are no ropes and the animals also have access to this part of the enclosure
